The Leadership Symposium, presented through the cooperation of the Agile 2007 Committee and the Agile Project Leadership Network, is a day long discussion of The Agile Organization, which will explore how organizations can embrace agile values and principles. The day long conversation will include exploration of how to shape an organizational environment in an agile manner, including encouraging open, honest, and transparent communication, allowing individuals to thrive and participate in decision making, building a collaborative environment, and basing decisions on business value and alignment with strategic intent.

The Leadership Symposium is structured to allow a mix of hearing the thoughts of some of the leading experts in organization agility, sharing your ideas, and making connections and building relationships with others who are interested in improving their organization's chances of success. The schedule will include keynotes covering particular aspects of creating an agile organization, experience reports from people who have tried to expand agile, think tank sessions that allow you to become an active participant in exploring models for organizational agility, and plenty of networking opportunities with others with a similar passion for expanding agility to the entire organization.

If you are looking for a day long lecture where someone will tell you exactly how to create an agile organization, this is not it. Instead we are interested in providing a format for all the attendees to bring their considerable experience and ideas together to explore several ideas and models.
